The discount can come off before those or off the final total. The QR codes follow the Thai QR Payment standard and work in every Thai banking app. This site isn't part of PromptPay or any bank.

How are service charge and VAT worked out?
Most Thai restaurants add 10% service charge on the food, then 7% VAT on food plus service. 1,000 baht of food + 100 service = 1,100, + 77 VAT = 1,177 baht.
Why doesn't everyone pay the same?
Each person pays for what they had. Shared dishes are split between the people who shared them, and service charge and VAT follow each person's share of the food.
Should the discount come off before or after?
Member discounts and most promotions come off the food before service and VAT; a coupon at the till usually comes off the final total. Match the receipt.
Should I attach a QR picture or type the PromptPay number?
Attaching the QR saved from your banking app is safer: the app made it from your real account, so there's no typo to worry about. Typing the number gives everyone a QR with their own amount, but check every digit before you confirm.
Is the QR code safe?
It only holds the PromptPay number and the amount. This site never receives or holds money; the transfer happens in the payer's own banking app. Check the receiver's name there before sending.
