How is the price per unit worked out?
The price divided by the total amount (size × how many in the pack). 45 baht for a 1.5 l bottle is 3 baht per 100 ml. The lower the price per unit, the better the buy.
Do I need to pick a unit?
No. If every item uses the same unit, the price and size are enough. Pick units when items are sized differently, say one in grams and one in kilograms.
Is the bigger pack always cheaper?
Not always. A smaller size on offer can beat it, and a big pack isn't a saving if it runs out of date before you finish it. Comparing today's prices is the surest way.
